About The Position

As a vital member of the Rue Gilt Groupe (RGG) marketing team, you will serve as the dynamic voice behind our premier brands, Rue La La and Gilt. This role sits at the intersection of creative storytelling and performance marketing, designed for a versatile copywriter who thrives in the fast-paced world of fashion e-commerce. You will be responsible for driving member engagement, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), and supporting overarching business goals by crafting compelling narratives across our entire digital landscape. From leading daily social media interactions and real-time pop culture commentary to developing long-form editorial blogs and impactful direct marketing campaigns, you will act as a primary brand steward. Success in this position requires a keen eye for emerging social media trends and the agility to seamlessly maintain and elevate the distinct identities of both Rue La La and Gilt.

Requirements

  • The ability to write copy that is both succinct and informative that champions for our brand voice
  • Knowledge of social media best practices
  • A keen understanding of the social landscape and the desire to stay on top of best practices and emerging social media trends
  • Self-starting, with the ability to both work collaboratively and independently as needed
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and make quick turnarounds
  • BA/BS in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • An innovative and enthusiastic Social Copywriter who will be passionate about creating engaging social content for both Rue La La and Gilt. You should be an adaptable storyteller with a passion for fashion, lifestyle, and social media trends.

Responsibilities

  • Write and publish compelling captions for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest, as well as Instagram reels and stories.
  • Create social content including long-form blogs and more.
  • Develop on-brand copy that not only resonates with our audience but also achieves KPIs and supports business goals.
  • Write performance-driven push notifications, subject lines, and marketing email copy as needed, maintaining our unique brand voice.
  • Schedule social content through our marketing platform.
  • Help with content updates as needed, potentially outside normal business hours.
  • Faithfully maintain the Rue La La and Gilt voice standards.
  • Follow the latest trends in the marketing and social media world.
  • Stay up to date on pop culture moments and make sure they are covered in real-time, when necessary.
