The Position The Opportunity: The Associate Workflow Consultant executes continuous improvement efforts to support the implementation of our Strategic Workflow Consulting strategy as it relates to non-automated and complex automated laboratory solutions and customers’ workflow processes. This field-based position is a part of the Roche Healthcare Consulting (RHC) team and works closely with colleagues, customers, and internal stakeholders (global business affiliates, marketing, IT, and others) to address customers' unique priorities, challenges, and needs. The Associate Workflow Consultant delivers results through data analysis, tool utilization, and developing laboratory designs including solution simulation and phasing plans. These deliverables are developed in collaboration with Strategic and Workflow Consultants to reflect direct impact on laboratory operations and associated improvements. As a result, this fosters and supports sales opportunities and also positions commercial opportunities for Roche Healthcare Consulting (RHC). KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Applies standardized end-to-end strategic workflow consultancy approaches/practices that create evidenced-based differentiated value for customers Transforms Matterport digital twin (BIM files or Point clouds) into formats used throughout the solution design lifecycle, as needed Assists Strategic Consultant (SC) and Workflow Consultant (WC) in assessing and documenting customers’ current laboratory layouts and work practices to include, but not limited to onsite data collection, lab measurements, and data analysis Creates proposed future state lab designs for non-automated solutions and collaborates with the consultant on the final designs Performs assigned special projects and project management tasks within established timelines and in adherence to project outcomes Collaborates with RHC team members to develop metrics for process improvement measures that align with performance targets and promotes systematic approaches for standard data collection and visualization Supports the delivery of strategic workflow consulting services and training to sales, services, and customer teams Employs all company standards and follows established procedures to deliver quality results in the performance of assigned tasks WHO YOU ARE: You are a clinical laboratory professional who seeks to build your consulting experience by providing data-driven decision-making and operations support. You enjoy working on varied and complex problems often involving research, analysis, and solution development. You are organized, analytical, and possess advanced verbal and written communication skills. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to influence decision makers and credibly recommend changes to established internal processes and support the consulting organization.
