About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking an Associate for our Construction Finance team. This position will aid the Construction Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting and analysis of our multi-billion-dollar capital projects. You will effectively communicate results to senior leaders to enable and enhance decision making. This person will be based in Houston, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or relevant field
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in Finance, Cost Engineering, Project Controls, Accounting or related field
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities, and understanding of key financial concepts
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast paced environment, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness with the ability to influence and challenge
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and present key details and conclusions
  • Proactive problem solving mindset to achieve business and financial objectives
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail
  • High level of ethics, integrity and emotional intelligence with ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Financial Modeling
  • Willing to report in office, daily
  • Occasional travel to construction site(s) or Arlington office will be required

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within your business area, including project controls, construction, engineering, development and accounting leadership, to gather data and align financial goals
  • Continual process improvement to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting tools, and building financial models
