About The Position

Community Federal Savings Bank (CFSB), located in New York City is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Advisory Analyst to join our Regulatory Compliance function within the Compliance department. CFSB offers a full range of banking services including ACH settlement services, pre-paid card issuance, and retail banking. In addition to serving our general customer base, we also service various types of money service businesses and FinTech companies. This position sits within the second line of defense for the Bank to assure its adherence to regulatory requirements and laws.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess initiative and be able to work on multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of financial services experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience with consumer, deposit, and lending regulations (e.g., Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Privacy, UDAAP, etc.).
  • Experience in handling complaint management and marketing review workflows.
  • Familiarity with external/internal audits, regulatory bodies, such as OCC, FDIC, or state regulators

Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date with federal and state banking regulations, guidance, and enforcement trends that impact the banking activities.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and, when necessary, assist in implementing process and procedural changes across all relevant business lines and partners in conjunction with various departments.
  • Perform initial compliance reviews of marketing, partner website/mobile app flows, advertising, and promotional materials to ensure compliance with applicable consumer protection and banking laws.
  • Receive, review, and document customer complaints promptly and coordinate with partners to investigate complaints, draft responses, coordinate any necessary actions, properly document resolutions or escalations, provide tracking and reporting on complaints, and determine trends.
  • Develop and manage business line relationships with partners to address regulatory risks and issues.
  • Assist with preparing the periodic reporting materials for the executive management, committees, external auditors or regulatory exams.
  • Perform initial updates on policies and procedures for Regulatory Compliance, as needed.
  • Work on other Compliance‐related projects when needed.
