About The Position

e.l.f. Beauty is seeking an Associate Manager, Community to help lead and evolve engagement across our rapidly growing global community. This role will play a critical part in shaping how e.l.f. connects with its audience across social platforms — transforming real-time consumer interaction into meaningful brand relationships, cultural relevance, and actionable business insights. The Associate Manager, Community will own day-to-day community engagement strategy and execution across social channels, while partnering cross-functionally with Social, Influencer, Brand Marketing, PR, and Customer Experience teams to ensure a cohesive and best-in-class consumer experience. The ideal candidate is deeply embedded in social culture and the beauty landscape, brings a strong editorial and brand voice, and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. This individual combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, using community insights to inform content, campaigns, and broader marketing decisions.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Community Management, Social Media, Digital Marketing, or related field within beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands
  • Proven experience managing and growing brand communities across major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
  • Strong editorial judgment with exceptional written communication and copywriting skills
  • Experience translating social engagement and sentiment into actionable insights
  • Highly organized with strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Deep cultural awareness with strong intuition for internet trends and consumer behavior
  • Experience working cross-functionally within marketing organizations
  • Familiarity with community and social analytics tools (Sprout, Dash Hudson, CreatorIQ, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Passion for beauty, culture, and digitally native brand building

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day community management strategy across key social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels
  • Drive proactive engagement initiatives that deepen brand affinity, loyalty, and advocacy within the e.l.f. community
  • Identify opportunities to celebrate consumers, creators, and cultural moments that amplify brand love
  • Develop scalable engagement frameworks and best practices to support continued community growth
  • Oversee inbound community interactions, ensuring timely, on-brand, and culturally relevant responses
  • Draft and refine responsive messaging aligned with brand tone and evolving social trends
  • Act as a steward of the e.l.f. voice across community touch points
  • Support rapid-response moments tied to launches, cultural conversations, and real-time trends
  • Partner closely with Social, Influencer, PR, Brand Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to align messaging and escalation workflows
  • Manage escalation of consumer feedback, product inquiries, and sensitive conversations to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Customer Service teams to ensure seamless consumer support across channels
  • Translate community conversations into actionable insights that inform marketing strategy, product feedback, and campaign optimization
  • Deliver recurring reporting on sentiment, trends, competitive activity, and emerging consumer behaviors
  • Identify opportunities to optimize engagement performance through data and platform analytics
  • Help refine processes, tools, and workflows that enable scalable community management across brands
  • Support agency or vendor partners as needed to maintain best-in-class coverage
  • Maintain agility in a fast-moving, real-time social environment while balancing strategic priorities
