About The Position

This early-career builder role is designed for someone eager to gain deep experience in community program operations, hospitality, and event production while contributing directly to the excellence and growth of the Praxis community. Reporting to the Director, Summit & Community, the Associate will play a critical role in supporting the execution of Praxis gatherings and strengthening the systems and processes that power our global network of founders, funders, and innovators. While a significant portion of this role centers on the production and logistics of key Praxis events—such as the flagship Praxis Summit, the Redemptive Investing Gathering, and monthly ORI Forums—the Associate will also contribute meaningfully to community program management, communications, and operational systems that enable our team to serve the Praxis community year-round. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves bringing order to complexity, and is motivated by creating seamless experiences and systems that foster meaningful relationships. This role is ideal for someone with strong potential who is excited to learn, contribute across multiple domains, and grow into larger responsibilities over time. This may be an Associate or a Senior Associate level role based on experience.

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or project management (internships and contract work included).
  • Operational excellence and project management proficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; thrives in managing logistics and interest in building systems for scale
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Strong task ownership — capable of independently driving assigned projects from start to finish while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset
  • Demonstrate expertise in planning and executing programs and events that have a high “experience design” factor with VIP-level guests
  • Warm, professional communication with guests, vendors, and teammates.
  • Comfortable with (or eager to learn) Praxis’s digital tools: Google Suite, Dropbox, Airtable, Asana, RegFox, Keynote, Slack, Typeform, Zapier, Ramp.
  • Willingness to pitch in on any task—from moving boxes to running slides to guest check-in.

Nice To Haves

  • You are energized by being “in the flow” of events—making sure every detail is in place, guests feel cared for, and the team can focus on mission-critical moments.
  • You enjoy working behind the scenes, but also value being face-to-face with leaders in our community.
  • You bring humility, hospitality, and a love for operational excellence.
  • You’re eager to learn, grow, and take on increasing ownership in events and community operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director, Summit & Community and Manager, Community & Events in producing our portfolio of events. The largest annual event is called the Praxis Summit (5 days, 400+ attendees, $1M budget).
  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned work-streams (e.g., guest communications, transportation schedules, volunteer management, speaker management), ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain project timeline and plan in Asana.
  • Support the event app build – content upload, attendee management, branding alignment, etc.
  • Manage assigned logistics such as supplies, print, transportation schedules, vendors, AV prep, photography/videography support, and F&B.
  • Coordinate space setup, catering, rentals, and vendor support for in-house events.
  • Maintain and update run-of-show documents, action plans, and setup/teardown notes.
  • Assist with invitation, registration, and RSVP tracking.
  • Help recruit, train, and manage seasonal staff and on-site host team.
  • Provide onsite guest support and hospitality during events and affiliated gatherings.
  • Coordinate vendor research, quotes, and contracts, as assigned.
  • Document learnings to improve future events and contribute to reusable planning templates.
  • Contribute to the technical backbone of major events by maintaining accurate data, workflows, and documentation across Airtable, Asana, RegFox, and related tools, helping build scalable systems
  • Facilitate custom communication to Community Members, including drafting and organizing detailed email communications and automating sequences to ensure effective outreach and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate program and event records in AirTable, Asana, and RegFox to ensure smooth operations and cross-team visibility.
  • Assist with guest curation and tracking of donor/partner engagement in collaboration with Community Managers.
  • Track attendance, engagement, and outcomes across events, and integrate that data into broader community systems.
  • Collect participant feedback and recommend improvements to both program design and execution.
  • Support the community data maintenance plan.
  • Play an active role in supporting and improving the community’s technical architecture—supporting data workflows.
