Department Summary: The Advanced Technical Computing Center (ATCC) is seeking an Associate Cloud Developer with a desire to work on innovative advanced approaches and technologies to solve our sponsors’ most critical technological problems. In this role you will provide hands-on support to critical customer problems in cloud computing, DevOps and/or software development. In addition, you will have an opportunity to work in several specialty fields with information technology to include Infrastructure Applications, IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Computing (including OS & Application virtualization, platform migration, server consolidation, utility computing, and grid computing.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance and DHS suitability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to learn.
  • Applicable internship(s) in the fields of Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and/or Software Development.
  • Experience with modern software languages (Python, Go, Javascript, Java, Typescript, etc).
  • Exposure to working on commercial cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience using Version Control Systems, specifically Git.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to qualified candidates with active clearance/suitability.
  • Exposure to Full Stack Web Development on Linux systems.
  • Experience in or exposure to DevOps concepts and CI/CD.
  • Experience with or exposure to containerization, Kubernetes, and/or virtualization
  • Excellent but not required, exposure to Cyber Security, AI/ML, Data Engineering (on prem or cloud)

Responsibilities

  • Developing and deploying full stack web applications (on prem and cloud)
  • Using Infrastructure as Code to manage commercial cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Modifying and improving existing systems, applications, and code
  • Working as part of a team of engineers to solve difficult technical problems (on prem and in the cloud)
