About the role

Provide claims assistance as directed including sole responsibility for
researching, recording, and reporting findings from DMF monthly runs across both
life and retirement divisions. Maintains individual life waiver of premium,
individual disability income and various accelerated benefits reports and
databases including monthly reviews and administration. Prepares communication
for initial death claims and follow-ups claims communications for our customers
for at least two of the claims divisions. Provides claims assistance by
communicating with our customers both via written letters and verbal
communication. Acts as accuracy check for keying of ACH payments to customers
and maintains both ingoing and outgoing communication coordination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience, college degree a plus.
• 1-3 years of cumulative, relevant experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepares written communication for death claim notifications in at least two divisions. Provides assistance with both written and verbal communication with our customers and serves as backup to claims examiners on telephones.
• Perform peer reviews for staff, support Retain Asset Program and service as primary EFT Table N Entry coordinator.
• Ensures compliance with internal and external regulations and maintains accurate and timely records including ensuring that customers are tracked and kept aware of their accounts.
• Assist or service as back-up for monthly death master file review for IA, Deferred and Life products.
