Associate Chief Clinical Informatics Officer – Acute (ACCIO) is a senior clinical informatics leader responsible for advancing the adoption, optimization, and innovation of health information technology across acute care settings. In a dyad partnership with the Associate Chief Health Informatics Officer (ACHIO), the ACCIO ensures that clinical workflows, digital tools, and informatics strategies are aligned to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient care. The ACCIO embodies servant leadership principles, fostering a culture of collaboration, empathy, and empowerment among clinical and health informaticists and leaders. By prioritizing the needs of the team and supporting their professional growth, the ACCIO ensures that team members are equipped to deliver innovative and effective informatics solutions. The ACCIO serves as the voice of the clinician, particularly nurses, ancillary, and other frontline caregivers. This role leads efforts to improve caregiver experience with health IT, drive clinical engagement, and ensure that digital solutions support the realities and challenges of care delivery within a highly complex and integrated health system. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Informatics Officer, the ACCIO collaborates with clinical programs, operational leaders, and DTS to co-lead the transformation of care delivery through technology. This position requires a visionary leader with deep clinical expertise, strong informatics acumen, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The role is hybrid and will require travel to areas where Intermountain conducts business. We will consider candidates who live in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana and are within a reasonable commuting distance to an Intermountain Health.
