As part of our Spiritual Care Team, Provides comprehensive multifaith and multicultural spiritual care to meet the needs of patients, families and staff. The Associate Chaplain is an integral part of the medical team, as well as providing consultation and support for all hospital employees and visiting clergy. This role serves under the coordination of their lead chaplain and reports to a hospital-specific supervisor.

Requirements

• 4 year Bachelors Degree required
• 1 Unit of CPE accredited preferably through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (preferred) or obtained within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree
• Endorsement and by a religious community or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for spiritual care in a timely manner
• Makes spiritual assessments and provides appropriate interventions
• Documents appropriately in the electronic medical records
• Protects patient privacy in accordance with HIPPA regulations
• Participates with the clinical staff as part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team
• Participates in the chaplain on-call rotation providing evening, night and weekend spiritual care at Network hospitals
