About The Position

St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire, is a completely residential, co-educational secondary school affiliated with the Episcopal Church and welcoming to people of all faiths. St. Paul’s School seeks innovative, experienced educators who are eager to participate in the academic, athletic, and co-curricular life of this dynamic residential community in our dedication to the pursuit of excellence in character and scholarship for our students. St. Paul’s School seeks an ordained Episcopal priest to join our team of chaplains, beginning in August 2026. The associate chaplain’s primary responsibilities will include sharing in the ministry of the chaplaincy and teaching religious studies courses in the Humanities department. Reporting to the Dean of Chapel and Spiritual Life, the chaplain will work collaboratively to develop and support morning chapel services, noonday Wednesday services, Sunday Community Eucharist, and other services to include Holy Week and Easter. Additional responsibilities also include the following: pastoral counseling; advising spiritual life groups; teaching confirmation classes; and supporting social justice initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or M. Divinity (or advanced degree preferred)
  • Ordination as a priest in the Episcopal church required, with at least three years of experience in ministry preferred
