Position Summary Manages the routing and dispatching operations for a small team of drivers. Ensures shipments are delivered in a timely manner and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• 1+ years of transportation and/or dispatch experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AS400.

Responsibilities

• Manages new facility openings, trade shows, and community events.
• Ensures the efficient use of a limited number of drivers and equipment.
• Allocates essential job requirements to a group of drivers from a limited pool.
• Develops a professional rapport with their assigned drivers
• Monitors road conditions and adjusts driver routes to avoid delays and inclement weather.
• Promptly and precisely records all line haul movements into AS400.
• Adapts work shifts as necessary based on workload demands.
