About The Position

An Associate Buyer at Diebold Nixdorf purchases goods and services. This role involves managing the replenishment of specific product categories to ensure adequate supply on hand and future stocking to meet anticipated inventory goals. The Associate Buyer may also manage product forecasts and seasonality adjustments, maintain timely and accurate purchase order costing, and follow up on vendor confirmations. Key responsibilities include expediting deliveries and product fill-in orders based on anticipated demand, and managing excess and dead inventory by executing inventory management processes and procedures. The position may require providing drawings to help suppliers understand specially configured items, working with the warehouse to identify and receive material, collaborating with Accounts Payable on outstanding invoices, and reporting delays to installation teams.

Requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Buyer.
  • Good business English skills (Written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Gains familiarity with Buyer methods, processes and priorities.
  • Works with more senior team members to obtain price quotes for materials and services.
  • With guidance, follows up with vendors regarding order status.
  • Completes, maintains and updates documentation as required.
  • Works within a work group.
