About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries US is seeking CPG associates with experience in working on brands and within brand or innovation teams. This person should demonstrate a passion for the business, a willingness to support key brand growth, and an eagerness to learn and grow while uncovering consumer insights and key analytics. This person will join a dynamic and energetic marketing team developing strategies to drive sales and market share on one of our critical businesses through strong program development and execution. Key brands in the BBU portfolio include Thomas’, Sara Lee, Entenmann’s, Oroweat, Ball Park and Little Bites. The Associate will be responsible for supporting their team on a variety of business initiatives while owning key work streams in support of the brand. These can include insights, analytics, innovation, budgeting, point of sale material and program/activation execution. This person will have the opportunity to work and collaborate cross functionally with Packaging, Finance, Manufacturing, research and development, Innovation, Customers/Sales, Revenue Growth Management, R&D, and the brand’s key Marketing and Social agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field. MS or MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience, CPG preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and strong analytical skills with the ability to generate business insights from diverse data sources.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (as well as Margin Minder and Circana (IRI) Market Advantage, if internal).
  • Examples of prior brand experience will be requested, along with references.
  • Accessible and responsible.
  • Ability to develop and complete a series of goals and tactics, with minimum supervision.
  • Strong communicator (oral and written) both with internal and cross functional teams.
  • Sharp operator, creative and resourceful.
  • Organized work style – Master at Multi-Tasking.
  • Strong at managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Open to learning/developing new skillsets – curiosity around the business.
  • Social media savvy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team across daily brand or innovation activities.
  • Collaborate with team to develop business building marketing activities such as, but not limited to, advertising and promotions.
  • Lead cross functional calls and keep teams organized and accountable against key initiatives. Issue notes and next steps.
  • Support team in Annual Planning process and with Inter-Agency Teams.
  • Support sales presentations, sell sheets, Point-of-Sale displays and field communication development.
  • Margin Minder and Circana analysis and insights.
  • Work closely with external agencies (social media, public relations, website, creative) on key projects and timelines.
  • Budget management and invoice processing
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer teams on sales opportunities and initiatives.
  • Weekly social media, advertising, consumer response and website review of competitors.
  • Support new product development systems and processes (PACT, regulatory, packaging, Salsify)
  • Management of invoice processing and budget alignment with Finance.
  • Willingness to travel, approx. 15-20% including visits to bakeries and key sales markets
