Associate Attorney - General Liability & First-Party Property (TX & LA Licensed) Location: New Orleans, LA Practice Areas: First-Party Property | General Liability About the Opportunity: Kelley Kronenberg is actively seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing team. We are looking for an atttroney admitted in both Texas and Louisiana to manage a diverse docket of First-Party Property and General Liability defense matters. Why Kelley Kronenberg? Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Dual Licensure Required: Must be admitted to the Bar in both Texas and Louisiana (Active and in Good Standing).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with specific exposure to both First-Party Property and General Liability defense preferred.
  • Skills: Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while managing strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Independently manage a high-volume caseload of complex litigation matters (GL and FPP) from inception through trial or settlement across Texas and Louisiana jurisdictions.
  • Litigation Strategy: Draft comprehensive pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; conduct legal research to guide client strategy.
  • Advocacy: Represent clients in depositions, court appearances, and mediations; prepare witnesses and experts for trial.
  • Client Relations: Maintain regular, professional communication with clients, providing clear guidance on legal issues and potential exposure.
  • Resolution: Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.
  • Read, review, analyze and report on all litigation matters to clients.
  • Conduct legal analyses of issues in claims, requiring knowledge and understanding of applicable case law and statutes.
  • Engage in direct communications via telephone and e-mail with attorneys and clients.
  • Engage in litigation related events including but not limited to depositions, conferences, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Properly track and record time billed on claim-related tasks on a daily basis, reaching monthly goal following initial training period.
