About Our Client Our client is a respected litigation firm founded in the mid-2000s with a strong focus on insurance defense, personal injury, and general civil litigation. The firm represents major insurance carriers, maintains a bilingual staff, and is known for actively trying cases throughout Central and South Texas rather than resolving everything on paper. Role Overview This Associate Attorney will manage a litigation docket from inception through resolution, working directly with clients, carriers, and trial attorneys on strategy, discovery, and courtroom advocacy.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing
  • Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Confident, reliable communicator with client-facing professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage an active docket of approximately 30 litigation matters
  • Review new assignments and develop case strategy from the outset
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and insurance adjusters
  • Handle mediations, hearings, court appearances, and trial preparation
  • Collaborate with paralegals, clerks, and fellow attorneys to move cases efficiently
  • Conduct legal research and apply findings strategically to case development
