BentallGreenOak, a leading North American private real estate investment advisor, is looking for a strong candidate to join our Asset Management team as an Associate in our Seattle, WA office. This position will provide analytical support to the asset management team for operations, dispositions, acquisitions, and due diligence of commercial real estate investments. Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or similar field
  • Three to five years prior commercial real estate work experience, preferably in the Office sector
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Argus, and MS Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong work ethic
  • Refined interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • This position requires someone with a dedication to the job who is eager to learn new approaches and is willing to openly listen and respond to feedback.

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MRI and Power Point a plus

Responsibilities

  • Utilize MRI for evaluating accuracy of financial statements and pulling reports as required.
  • Create and/or modify existing ARGUS files. Complete understanding of modeling standards, impact of changes to models and ability to communicate effectively the results of the analysis.
  • Ability to calculate termination/amortization payments and quickly retrieve key statistics (asset’s current Yield, Leased %, Market Value, etc.).
  • Work with Asset Manager on the valuation process.
  • Analyze and critically assess leasing proposals to assist Asset Manager in efficiently evaluating deals.
  • Work with Asset Manager during the budget/business plan cycle to review and complete the final budget and business plan for each asset within the portfolio.
  • Assist with the acquisition efforts including property inspections, review of existing leases, revenue and operating expenses, and other due diligence materials.
  • Work with Asset Manager on the monthly and quarterly client reports
  • Work with Asset Manager to ensure accuracy of draws and funding requests on development and renovation projects.
  • Work with internal team and property management teams on RPI initiatives such as LEED and Energy Star.
  • Special and ad hoc projects, as assigned
