About The Position

The Asset Management Associate functions as part of both the asset management and finance team, working with a variety of different individuals who oversee Bear Real Estate Group's owned assets. This role assists asset managers and senior team members with data analysis, reporting, compliance, and day-to-day asset operations to ensure assets are accurately recorded, maintained, and performing as expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business, or related field preferred
  • 0–3 years of experience in asset management, finance, operations, or a related role
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently on multiple projects
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RealPage, Power BI, and Smartsheet preferred
  • Knowledge of real estate operations, property management, and compliance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support lender and investor reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, working closely with Accounting and Compliance to ensure reports are accurate and submitted on time
  • Prepare financial analyses, documentation, presentations, and summaries for management review
  • Assist with data collection, reporting, and process improvements using tools such as Excel, RealPage Asset Investment Management, Power BI, Smartsheet, and OneDrive
  • Monitor incoming requests for information, responding to or directing inquiries from investors, lenders, and third-party management teams
  • Identify reporting requirements for new acquisitions and financings; update internal trackers and communicate expectations to appropriate team members
  • Support property sale and refinance transactions, coordinating with lenders, legal counsel, accounting, and other stakeholders through the closing process
  • Assist with transitions to third-party property management, including coordination of due diligence items
  • Update the real estate owned schedule to ensure proper insurance coverages are in place
  • Maintain and monitor the insurance claims tracker to ensure proper documentation, follow-up, and resolution
  • Assist with insurance-related responsibilities including renewals, coverage schedules, certificates, and lender compliance requirements
