About The Position

As an Associate Assembler at GE Aviation Systems LLC, you will be responsible for the assembly of aircraft components and systems following established procedures and quality standards. This role operates on the 2nd shift, contributing to the timely production of high-quality aerospace parts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred, ideally in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work the 2nd shift (typically afternoon/evening hours).
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly operations on various aircraft components and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble parts with precision and accuracy.
  • Inspect assembled components for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and production logs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and optimize assembly processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
