Come make a difference at MGIC. This position is based in Milwaukee, WI. Hybrid environment 3 days in office, 2 days remote. How will you make an impact? As an Associate Analyst, you will be a part of the Finance Analytics & Reporting team that is responsible for monitoring, and reporting on our reinsurance agreements, risk, and financial reporting. You will maintain reports and dashboards, while developing essential data and business knowledge. You will work with cross‑functional partners to ensure accurate data, improve reporting processes, and enhance decision‑making across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, data analytics or related fields
• Basic proficiency in Excel, Google sheets, or similar
• Basic proficiency in SAS, SQL, or other data programming languages
• Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Are eager to learn
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly
• Are self-motivated, resourceful and a team player
• Have good problem-solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating accurate reports, and dashboards
• Monitoring and researching data for quality issues, and escalating, if needed, to ensure a resolution
• Assisting with reporting requests; collaborating with senior analysts and cross‑functional partners to understand and clarify requirements
• Analyzing data and reports to uncover trends and patterns
• Developing essential data and business knowledge
• Assisting the data governance initiative by documenting data terminology and processes
