About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer (Systems Safety & Mission Assurance) to join the team in Hazelwood, MO. Join a systems safety team on a proprietary Air Dominance program. Work on system and software safety analyses, hazards mitigations, and verifications using MIL-STD-882E. Collaborate with design, test, and certification teams to integrate safety into the project. Position Overview: Perform and document safety analyses for systems and software Contribute to hazard identification, mitigation, and verification activities Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety requirements Support tests, inspections, and simulations to verify safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Active Security Clearance (Active means held within the previous two years from today)
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with aircraft systems (e.g., navigation, avionics, fuel, hydraulics, pneumatic, etc.) including operations and troubleshooting

  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
