About The Position

The Mid-Level Mission Assurance Analyst / Engineer will support the Corporate Director of Mission Assurance in developing, maintaining, and improving the organization's quality management as part of the broader Quality Management System (QMS) and Delivery+ ™ framework. This role involves supporting the implementation of mission assurance and quality processes across Lines of Business and programs, maintaining quality documentation, and coordinating with Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management teams to ensure the effectiveness of quality processes. The position will contribute to knowledge management initiatives, process improvement efforts, and maintaining familiarity with the CACI Delivery+™ framework, and support internal audits, performance monitoring, and surveillance activities. This role emphasizes strong analytical and coordination skills to facilitate communication across organizational levels and support standardization of quality practices throughout the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience in a combination of roles including manufacturing, quality engineering, quality management, and/or supplier quality assurance OR Associate's degree (AS) in a related technical field (including aerospace or electronics) plus 7 years of relevant experience in a combination of roles including manufacturing, quality engineering, quality management, and/or supplier quality assurance OR in lieu of a BS or AS, 9 plus years of related technical field experience (including aerospace or electronics domains)
  • Familiarity with CACI Delivery+ framework, ISO9001 and/or AS9100 quality management system standards and their application to program, production and supplier quality.
  • Understanding of mission assurance (MA) principles - safety, risk management, quality, engineering and production - and how they integrate across program, product, and system engineering lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with system safety and product safety principles - including hazard identification, hazard analysis participation, failure consequence awareness, safety verification evidence, safe‑to‑test/operate readiness, and integration of safety considerations into design, manufacturing, test, and operations.
  • Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 as applied to aerospace hardware and software, including process control, configuration management, audits, product acceptance, and corrective/preventive action systems.
  • Experience with supplier capability assessments, supplier audits, flow‑down of mission assurance and quality expectations, oversight of special processes, verification of part/material pedigree or traceability, and monitoring of supplier performance and readiness.
  • Familiarity with hardware manufacturing workflows, workmanship standards, inspection/verification checkpoints, assembly/fabrication controls, and handling of nonconformances (such as MRB, FRACAS/PRACA).
  • Understanding of software assurance basics: requirements traceability, verification & validation, defect tracking, configuration management, and readiness assessment for software affecting mission performance (flight or ground).
  • Knowledge of Parts Materials & Process (PM&P) practices such as material/part pedigree, counterfeit avoidance, environmental/material suitability, special‑process qualification, and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of reliability‑related mission and production risk activities including Design for Producibility (DFX), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA, DFMEA), and Manufacturing Risk Assessment (MRA) using Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL)
  • Experience supporting program and product lifecycle and/or gate reviews (such as requirements, design, integration, test readiness, manufacturing readiness and production readiness) with mission assurance inputs such as verification status, risk summaries, quality and supplier quality status, and objective technical evidence.
  • Experience with review of test plans, procedures, environments, acceptance criteria, and test configurations; support test readiness activities; track anomalies and corrective actions; and ensure evidence closure before major milestone decisions.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing MA documentation, review packages, supplier communication, and risk/issue statements.
  • Able to raise evidence‑based concerns independently while collaborating constructively with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and program teams.
  • Ability to assist in developing, documenting, updating, and deploying mission assurance and quality related policies, procedures, workflows, and checklists—covering QMS alignment, PM&P controls, supplier oversight, Verification and validation processes, manufacturing and product assurance, system safety integration, and risk management—to ensure consistency across programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of counterfeit parts or material prevention programs
  • Familiarity with software quality assurance practices for product firmware
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • ISO Lead or Internal Auditor qualifications (ISO9001 or AS9100)
  • Industry certifications, such as those from ASQ or IPC

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of corporate quality management system and quality policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
  • Assist in the implementation of standardized supplier quality processes across Lines of Business and programs
  • Support corporate-level implementation initiatives for quality management processes including supplier approval, performance monitoring, and surveillance activities
  • Support the validation of corporate and supplier QMS certifications (ISO9001, AS9100) and maintain corporate supplier approval records
  • Support the development and maintenance of corporate-level quality performance metrics, KPIs and trend analyses across Lines of Business and programs
  • Facilitate communication and information sharing between Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management regarding quality initiatives and supplier quality improvement
  • Support corporate-level internal audits and Corrective Action logs, Risk logs, and Action Trackers related to Delivery+, quality management and supplier quality processes.
  • Support the identification and evaluation of lessons learned, best practices and opportunities for improvement in corporate quality processes and knowledge management.
  • Support the development, maintenance and delivery of training materials and curricula for quality processes, corporate requirements to Line of Business functional and program personnel
