About The Position

The Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization, a division of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking an aircraft-focused Associate Aerodynamics Engineer to join the Flight Systems Capability Aerodynamics team in Tukwila, WA. This position offers the opportunity to provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (e.g. P-8, E-7, KC-46, VC-25) and other MS&B division portfolio aircraft/projects. On-the-job training will be provided in this position, initially working under close supervision. Assignments will provide an excellent opportunity to learn aircraft aerodynamics analytical methods & tools (e.g., computational fluid dynamics (CFD), takeoff/landing/mission analysis, performance database (AFM/PET/OPT) development & management, and wind tunnel testing) and other skills needed to generate aircraft flight performance data/charts and assess stability & control characteristics for these various platforms. This position will also assist with certification and qualification processes (both civilian and military) of the aerodynamic characteristics of flight vehicles. This position requires an individual with strong analytical and communication skills who is comfortable working across different organizations. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Sporadic off-shift work may be required to support aircraft production/operational needs.
