About The Position

Lightspeed Systems is hiring an Associate Account Manager to support our Account Management team and develop future Account Managers. This hybrid role is based in South Austin, TX and provides hands-on exposure to customer relationships, renewals, and revenue growth within the K–12 EdTech space. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build a foundation in account management while working closely with experienced sales professionals. Role Overview As an Associate Account Manager, you will support day-to-day account activities, help prepare client-facing materials, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a strong customer experience. You’ll gain exposure to mid-market and enterprise accounts while building skills needed to grow into a full Account Manager role.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales support, customer success, account coordination, or a related role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Interest in sales, technology, and/or education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.

  • Exposure to SaaS or EdTech environments.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in account management or sales.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Managers with day-to-day customer communications and account activities.
  • Prepare renewal summaries, performance insights, and materials for customer reviews.
  • Monitor account health using CRM and analytics tools to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Track renewal dates and assist with pricing proposals and contract preparation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support timely delivery of customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate account records and notes in Salesforce.
  • Conduct basic research on customer trends and industry insights to support account strategy.
  • Participate in customer calls to build skills in presentation and relationship management.
