About The Position

The Associate Account Executive is a sales role responsible for supporting and advancing opportunity-based sales within assigned territories, while developing the capabilities required to independently manage a full sales cycle. This position partners closely with an Account Executive to drive client engagement, pipeline development, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams, customers, partners, manufacturers, and distribution channels, while consistently demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a strong customer focus. During the initial development period (approximately 9–12 months), the Associate Account Executive will work in alignment with an established Account Executive, contributing to sales strategy, customer interactions, and execution across active accounts. This role will gain progressive exposure to territory management, client ownership, and end-to-end sales responsibility. This role is structured as a salaried position during the development period. Progression to an independent, commission-based Account Executive role is based on demonstrated performance, readiness, and business need. Upon successful transition into an independent Account Executive role, compensation will shift to the standard commission-based structure aligned with company policy.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role (B2G experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to build relationships and navigate complex customer environments
  • Experience presenting products or services and articulating value to diverse audiences
  • Working knowledge of pricing structures, margins, and sales fundamentals
  • Familiarity with the telecom/IT industry highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); experience with CRM systems preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field preferred
  • Ability to obtain required security clearance, if applicable
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a proactive approach to following up on quotes, orders, and client needs
  • Clear, confident communication style supported by strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated sales acumen, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization

Responsibilities

  • Partner with an established Account Executive to support management of assigned accounts, opportunities, and sales activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization
  • Contribute to the identification, development, and advancement of sales opportunities within assigned territories
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and onsite engagements
  • Support responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs)
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and customer information within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with technical and support teams to deliver solutions aligned with client needs
  • Develop a strong understanding of vendor offerings, market trends, and sales strategies
  • Progress toward defined performance milestones in preparation for transition to an independent Account Executive role
