What you'll do in the role: Contribute to the function through a range of operational activities and project tasks, developing an understanding of the business and operating environment. Monitor software applications and systems to ensure availability and performance. Assist in incident response activities and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Participate in automation efforts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks. Work closely with development teams to understand deployment processes and operational requirements. Document procedures and configurations for software systems to maintain consistency. Learn about best practices in production management and reliability engineering. Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and resilience of software applications. Contribute to root cause analysis efforts to prevent recurring incidents. What you'll bring to the role: Ability to engage with the broader team, communicate goals, tasks and deliverables in 1-1 and team meetings. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience Understanding of basic software development concepts and practices. Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows). Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $50,000 and $85,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
