About The Position

The Associate Director, Strategic Engagement Leader role within the Enterprise Services (ES) CORE Office specializes in the application of advanced CORE methods to oversee complex, ES-wide strategic initiatives to achieve business results. The role serves as a strategic CORE resource for cross-domain and functional business problems warranting complex evaluation, strategic thinking and agile problem solving, including supporting the ES Leadership Team through CORE Leadership Week engagements and the annual Goal Alignment process. Skills in leading and facilitating large executive-level engagements, project management, process maturity, problem solving (including root cause analysis) and change management enable the success of this role. You will network with exceptional influencing skills, use polished executive presence to influence the organization, and drive executive-sponsored improvements, guiding many matrixed employees to achieve sustainable, high business impact targets, including enabling accelerated product delivery. You will also develop organizational capabilities and serve as a coach of CORE advanced methods for the business. This is a hybrid role and will require travel to support key ES CORE initiatives (approximately 25%).

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Documented results in two or more of the following: Driving transformation efforts that deliver tangible impact, Leading strategic initiatives, Experience leading process improvement efforts, Leading the Goal Alignment process for large organizations, Leading and facilitating CORE Leadership Week engagements.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and working across the organization using communications, project management, and change management skills.
  • Ability to obtain CORE Expert certification.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • CORE Expert or other equivalent certification (e.g. Six Sigma Black Belt).
  • Experience using tools such as, R, Minitab, Excel/Access/Power BI.
  • Experience using, training and coaching Lean and 6Sigma methods & tools.
  • Experience in applying cost reduction, EAC improvement, and synergy creation.
  • Experience partnering across Business Units to benchmark and drive oneRTX solutions.
  • Ability to coach and mentor "CORE Experts in training,” helping guide them through their certification journey.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on strategic initiatives aligned with the CORE Goal Alignment process.
  • Drive cross-cutting (across ES domains) business process improvements, with a focus on the biggest impact that result in capacity growth / accelerated customer deliveries, cost reductions, schedule (cycle time) and quality improvements.
  • Coach and mentor "CORE Experts in training" and guide them through their certification journey.
  • Deliver instructor led training on CORE methods and tools to the organization as needed.
  • Shepherd these processes in the organization as the organization matures with CORE OS deployment.
  • Partner to solve cross-business unit problems impacting RTX profitability.
  • Leverage skill by helping RTX corporate with synergy opportunities, best practice sharing implementation and high stakes field failures' Root Cause and Corrective Action.
