About This Role: Leads seasoned team of category managers, establishing and executing strategic sourcing objectives. Recommends and implements category strategies and networks in support of supply chain strategy. Directs supplier selections, negotiations, and contract administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 12+ years of direct materials strategic sourcing experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (internationally as needed)

  • Masters Degree
  • Working knowledge of electromechanical commodities (drives, sensors, wire harnesses, control boxes)
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and contract negotiations
  • Proficiency in cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, and market benchmarking
  • Success leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders in Engineering, Operations, and Finance
  • Experience managing global supplier networks, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and footprint optimization
  • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma

Responsibilities

  • Lead CSA Electromechanical team
  • Drive net cost productivity and supplier resiliency
  • Establishes critical sourcing strategies; owns the purchasing activities of the company, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Develops and implements mid- to long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
  • Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies to continuously improve and re-evaluate the purchasing activities of the company.
  • Directs supplier selection based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and details of suppliers' reputation and history.
  • Directs negotiations, renegotiations and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
  • Directs negotiations with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
