About The Position

ACES is excited to announce an opening in our Assistive Technology Services Department! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who is ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse abilities. As an Assistive Technology Specialist, you will play a vital role in breaking down barriers to learning and independence. You'll provide evaluations, consultations, and training to students, educators, and families, supporting access in areas such as academics, communication, physical access, and executive functioning. Your expertise will guide teams in selecting and implementing effective AT tools and support, including AAC devices, while ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive. Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the State of Connecticut
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
  • Strong background in assistive technology, curriculum access, and assessment
  • Experience supporting students with complex communication needs, including AAC
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Confidence in administering assessments, writing reports, and presenting at PPTs
  • A collaborative spirit and dedication to student success
  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Current Connecticut SLP licensure and endorsement (061)
