About The Position

This position is responsible for: Assisting the Warehouse Manager in the opening and closing of the Donation Center daily. Assist supervision of the work performed by warehouse employees, community service workers, and volunteers in the warehouse. Assist in ensuring that all donated items are processed in a time manner and in accordance with the established standards. Assists in the oversight of receiving, sorting, storing and distribution of donated items in the warehouse and storage area. Determines the acceptability of donated items base on established standards. Controls and supervises bailing of ragged materials. Delivers processed donations out to Family Store locations.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D.
Two years' experience in performing warehouse work with at least six months experience in a supervisory capacity, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid State Driver's License
Forklift Certified
DOT certified (or eligible)

Responsibilities

Assist the Warehouse Manager with supervising employees and providing oversight to community service workers and volunteers assigned to the Distribution Center.
Assist in controlling and supervising bailing of all ragged material.
Assist in monitoring the arrival and distribution of all donations, ensuring that items reach the appropriate destinations in a timely manner.
Assists in monitoring the supply of items available in the warehouse in order to determine the areas in need of additional stock.
Assists in packing items in boxes and mark boxed accordingly, assists in transporting boxes to appropriate storage/loading area.
