JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the VP of Revenue Cycle Operations, the Assistant Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations ("AVP RCO") is responsible for all assigned operational functions and related operations to revenue cycle operations. This may include customer service inbound – all channels, self-pay AR collections, bad debt accounts and placement with third party collection agencies, post-TOS billing, on-shore and off-shore staffing and performance, forecasting and data analytics. The AVP is actively engaged in all aspects of continuous process improvement, workflow optimization projects, and vendor/external partner relationships. As a member of the senior leadership team within the division, overall objective is driving results in ensuring maximum financial return on reimbursement and timely resolution accounts receivable associated financial classes. The AVP is expected to demonstrate, through plans and actions, a consistent standard of excellence to which all departmental work is expected to conform. The AVP is also responsible for ensuring all accountable department functions, systems, policies and procedures are updated and maintained; aligning with best practices and objectives defined by Executive Leadership. As a revenue cycle leader, AVP is expected to provide leadership, strengthen collaboration, and uphold the Company's standard of excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or similar field of study required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in large scale multi facility operations. Accounts Receivable/Revenue Cycle Management (Healthcare) experience preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years Management/Supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing a 100+ employee team preferably in multiple locations.
  • Significant transformation and information technology experience in a high-volume processing environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Communicates, cooperates, and consistently functions professionally and harmoniously with all levels of supervision, co-workers, patients, visitors, and vendors.
  • Demonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism and integrity, and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance.
  • Follows all local, state and federal laws concerning employment to include but not limited to: I-9, Harassment, EEOC, Civil rights and ADA.
  • Follows OSHA regulations, RadNet and site protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Follows HIPAA, compliance, privacy, safety and confidentiality standards at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the leadership team (and ultimately all employees involved in specific revenue cycle operations functions to include: internal operations, business partner relationships, self-pay, bad debt (vendors) and new business.
  • In conjunction with executive management and other department heads, continuously refine the revenue cycle operations and workflows to optimize performance, provide superior level of customer service to our patients/responsible parties, drive the collection of all compliant post-TOS revenue dollars, and improve our agents’ experience.
  • Uphold integrity and compliance to all Federal/State and Regulatory guidelines.
  • Continuously monitor established financial and operational benchmarks to identify and resolve variances and exceptions which may affect cash flow and patient experience.
  • Strategic planning, monitoring and execution of metrics to ensure that revenue, profitability, cash flow, business goals and objectives throughout Revenue Cycle operations are achieved.
  • Oversee development and implementation of policies and standards for all tasks within areas of responsibility.
  • Contribute to development of innovative strategies focused on optimal and timely collections of revenue and customer service to our patients.
  • Monitor industry trends and ensure timely response to changes and mandates.
