The primary duties of the assistant volleyball coach are to assist in team coaching, teaching, training, and individual student athlete skill development, and to prepare the team for competition. Other duties include, but are not limited to: o Assists in monitoring academic, social, and personal development of student-athletes. Assists in identifying and recruiting academically and athletically talented students for the athletic program. o Assists in promotion and development of program by creating and maintaining effective relationships with alumni, donors, and community members. o Assists in the planning and implementation of camps and clinics. o Participates in events as a representative of the department and volleyball programs. o Maintains knowledge and remains current regarding all appropriate NAIA, The Sun Conference, Department of Athletics, and University compliance issues, policies, and procedures. The assistant coach will adhere to all guidelines and regulations set forth by the Sun Conference, NAIA and Ave Maria University.
