Assistant Volleyball Coach

The Assistant Volleyball Coach will be responsible for successful execution in planning, developing, and administering all phases of the volleyball coaching and recruiting program. This position will be heavily involved in the teaching of essential skills and techniques needed to become a successful volleyball player. All duties an responsibilities are governed by state, federal, and university policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of intercollegiate coaching experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University rules
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to travel extensively within the region and nationally for recruitment purposes
- Knowledge of budgeting processes
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the University
- Ability to drive and operate a vehicle
- Must have the ability to rent a vehicle while on recruitment trips.
Responsibilities
- Will act as the lead recruiter and maintain a database of prospective student athletes
- Assist in budget preparation, travel arrangements and other administrative tasks
- Operate in compliance with all NCAA, Ohio Valley Conference and institutional rules
- Scout assigned opponents
- Monitor academic progress towards degree
- Oversee daily practice and instructional plans and game operations
- Assist in daily workouts with individual players
- Perform other duties as assigned
