This Opportunity WSP is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to support and grow our Transportation & Infrastructure practice in the Las Vegas market . This role will manage and deliver complex roadway, BRT, multimodal, and civil infrastructure projects for key clients including Clark County Public Works, NDOT, the Department of Aviation, the RTCs of Southern and Northern Nevada, and regional municipalities. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary project teams, oversee design execution, ensure technical excellence, and support strategic business development efforts. Lead planning, design, and delivery of roadway and multimodal transportation projects. Manage project scope, budget, schedule, staffing, and risk. Oversee preparation of roadway geometrics, plans, profiles, typical sections, estimates, and supporting analyses. Ensure QA/QC compliance with local, state, and federal standards. Coordinate with internal disciplines and external agencies. Serve as primary client contact; support growth of Nevada T&I into a top tier provider. Oversees the development and implementation of advanced technologies, monitoring devices, building materials, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to account for the safety and functionality or end-users, transportation vehicles/systems, and implementing future-ready solutions with civil engineering design standards. Assist with engineering review of permit applications, engineering design plans and specifications, standby plans and engineering contracts, integrated waste management plans, and periodic construction inspections, to ensure that they comply with applicable state and/or federal regulations and sound engineering practice and standards. Ensure technical reports and presentations explain research, findings, and recommendations to prevent, control, restore, or address engineering, design, and/or construction issues or opportunities. Develop a client base for providing high level civil engineering services including identifying additional business development opportunities. Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development. Remain current in latest civil engineering techniques and practices. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
