About The Position

The Structured Credit Team is a newly formed investment team encompassing the Firm’s existing strategies investing across Structured Products and CLOs, Asset-Backed Finance (“ABF”) and Infrastructure Credit. Primary Structured Credit investment capabilities will include: Financial Assets (e.g., fund finance, significant risk transfers, royalty streams, other intellectual property‑backed assets, insurance‑linked securities) Hard & Infrastructure Assets (e.g., digital infrastructure such as fiber networks, data centers, wireless towers; core infrastructure such as renewable energy and power; transportation assets such as railcars, shipping containers, aircraft leasing) Commercial Assets (e.g., whole business securitizations, equipment financing, receivables financing, diversified payment rights, inventory financing, corporate fleet leasing) Consumer Assets (e.g., point‑of‑sale financing, auto and recreational vehicle loans, retail installment loans, lease receivables, residential solar, student loans, unsecured consumer lending) The ABF Team will focus on privately sourced, structured and negotiated opportunities via a demonstrated deep network of origination channels which include banks, non-bank originators, specialty finance companies and sponsors and can encompass structured securities, forward-flow arrangements and whole-loan pool investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance or asset management industry with a strong focus on private asset-backed investments
  • Proven ability to independently structure and model ABS transactions across a wide range of traditional and non‑traditional asset classes with preference for experience in transportation, specialty equipment, digital infrastructure and consumer finance
  • Demonstrated expertise in independently building cash‑flow models in Excel and / or utilizing Intex DealMaker with the ability to analyze, interpret and stress‑test complex deal structures
  • Prior experience working with major rating agencies to obtain transaction ratings including a solid understanding of their methodologies, analytical frameworks and rating processes
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Well-developed presentation and communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts and present to senior leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a highly productive member of lean, fast-paced deal teams
  • Ability to learn quickly and maintain exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior team members in evaluating new investment opportunities across diverse asset classes and structures
  • Independently build, refine and maintain investment cash flow models to support scenario analysis and return objectives across an evolving range of asset types
  • Assess, structure and optimize collateral pools to align with rating agency methodologies, eligibility criteria, concentration limits and required levels of credit enhancement for asset backed securitizations
  • Analyze historical asset level data, including vintage curves, static pool performance and servicer reporting to validate underwriting assumptions and inform credit views
  • Contribute to the preparation of investment memoranda for Investment Committee review, including company, industry, structural, comparable and relative‑value analysis, as well as clear articulation of the investment thesis and rationale to ABF and Structured Credit leadership and Investment Committees
  • Engage with arrangers, issuers, sponsors, servicers, trustees and rating agencies (both independently and in collaboration with senior team members) throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Participate in internal portfolio management activities and prepare investor communications and reporting as needed.
  • Coordination of closing processes across internal teams and external transaction counterparties
  • Prepare periodic reviews of existing investments, summarizing performance, structural considerations, risks and recommended actions
  • Review ongoing servicer reports, trustee statements and compliance certificates to identify early‑warning indicators including trigger headroom erosion, collateral performance deterioration or emerging credit concerns
  • Monitor ABF investments against original underwriting assumptions, updating views as market, collateral or structural factors evolve
  • Update and maintain asset‑ and deal‑level cash‑flow models and financial projections including impacts on yield, WAL, credit enhancement, risk metrics, etc.
  • Evaluate investment performance using rating agency methodologies and internal credit frameworks, highlighting deviations and recommended adjustments
  • Support amendments, waivers, refinancings, restructurings and other portfolio actions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including senior underwriters
  • Assist with portfolio‑level analytics, including concentration analysis, scenario analysis and stress testing
  • Work collaboratively across the Structured Credit platform to identify sector and market trends, enabling proactive risk management and opportunity identification
  • Assist with ad‑hoc requests and special projects as needed
