The Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Communications reports to the Vice President for University Strategy to lead a cohesive team of marketing and communications professionals. The AVP for Marketing and Communications serves as the lead brand ambassador for the university and is responsible for crafting and gaining buy-in for comprehensive integrated marketing strategies, internal and external communications, prioritizing goals and projects, leadership and management of a strong central team of professionals and university unit partners, and collaborating with stakeholder departments to tell the Tarleton State University story. The selected candidate will be a dynamic leader, communicator, organizer, collaborator and innovator who will help position Tarleton State for continued enrollment growth, donor and alumni engagement, and elevation of the university profile, as outlined in the university’s 10-year strategic plan (Tarleton State Forward 2030: Our Future-Focused Strategic Plan). Oversight areas include Internal and External Communications, Licensing and Trademarks, Brand Management, Creative Services, Multimedia Services, Web Operations, and university-branded marketing efforts. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or as work requirements indicate; This position requires work beyond normal business hours, weekends, and holidays; This is an on-site position located in Stephenville, Texas. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
