We are open to applicants located anywhere in the Central or West Zones (AZ, CA, CO, ID, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, NM, NV, OH, OR, TX, UT, WA) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Technology team. In this role you will drive growth and profit by overseeing underwriters who handle new and some renewal business for technology accounts of varying sizes and complexities. You will also help build and maintain strong relations with agency partners and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional service. Partnership with Core field leaders is a must. This leader will be responsible for our Central and West Zones. This is a full-time, exempt role.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of commercial lines underwriting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience with Technology accounts.
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success directly managing others
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a wide range of decision-makers
  • Change Leadership and strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems with agility and adaptability

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for managing Technology Small Commercial and Middle Market commercial lines underwriting and sales functions across a large territory and across multiple states and zones.
  • Develop and implement strategies based on near and long-term priorities, current trends, and underwriting results.
  • Hold a significant level of underwriting authority and expertise.
  • Drive team performance to achieve profit and growth through talent management and development, portfolio management, achievement of new business targets, and consistent use and optimization of best practices and tools.
