About The Position

As a Portfolio Manager I with National Builder Finance ('NBF') you will be overseeing loans for various customers of institutional caliber with a focus on Lot Banking, Land Development, Build-to-Rent, Vertical Construction, Homebuilder Facility's, etc. The Team finances Projects throughout the country in various markets with a focus on strong fundamentals and risk adjusted return. Perform special financial statement analyses, typically involving complex and interlocking relationships. Provide credit information including but not limited to market analysis, debt service testing, construction budgets, and collateral evaluations. Perform pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit culture and current economic and industry trends. Gather and analyze all information necessary to present a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee for approval; may meet with existing or potential customers; visiting sites of loans; negotiate loan terms and conditions; refer and recommend acceptance to Credit Administration.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics. Credit analyst training completed.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
