About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Assistant Training Manager to oversee the program’s Virginia DCJS Compliance Department and provide direct assistance to the program’s Training Manager. The Assistant Training Manager will report to the office on a daily basis; however, limited telework options are available as determined by the position’s supervisor. This is a full-time position, requiring availability Monday through Friday, with some nights (1-2 per month) and occasional hours on the weekend for follow up as needed. Hours are flexible based on Program needs. This position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with various people. Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to: Oversee day-to-day operations of the DCJS Compliance Officer to ensure program goals are met and program adheres to DCJS regulations. Develop schedules for basic and in-service classes. Supervise and guide basic students during their training period. Attend outside development training as directed by the Training School Director. Maintain and operate the training school’s on-line training software. To include but not limited to assigning individuals to courses, awarding in-service training credit, developing and implementing new on-line courses as well as handling all the calls for on-line training support. Will lead by example and enforce compliance with customer and company work standards, policies and procedures. Assist the Program’s Training Manager in developing, organizing and delivering program’s training curriculum. Researching new training supplies and materials that can enhance a firm’s training procedures while providing value to employees Communicating with the Program Management team and Leads to ensure Programs needs are met Ensure training program products align with program’s quality assurance goals and overall program needs. Establish effective relationships and communications, both internally and externally, with persons of all backgrounds and organizational levels. Maintain confidentiality and protects PII information per company standards. Possess and demonstrate a positive approach toward achieving outstanding customer satisfaction. Ensure Program files are maintained and kept up to date. Perform any other special tasks as assigned by the Director. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess or be able to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance Must possess or obtain a valid DCJS Individual Registration (Minimum Unarmed Security Officer) Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be proficient in Microsoft office and Video Conferencing (i.e., WebEx, Zoom, etc.) Must possess and demonstrate good organizational and interpersonal communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Advanced record-keeping skills Preferred 1-2 years instructional experience. Complete of one of the following: Minimum of 3 years management or supervisory experience with a private security services business or with any federal, military police, state, county, or municipal law enforcement agency, or in a related field; OR Minimum of 5 years general experience in a private security services business, with a federal, state, or local law enforcement agency, or in a related field. Compensation Details: $75,000 to $85,000 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
