Requirements
- High school diploma
- Are 21+ and have 2+ years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
- Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment, specifically 12-18 months
- Ability to pass all relevant clearances
Nice To Haves
- Associate/Bachelor degree or college credits from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
Responsibilities
- Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
- Facilitating nap time, clean up, snack time, diapering and hand washing
- Being patient and kind with our parents
- Supervising children at play in the classroom and on the playground as parents pick up children, with a focus on making sure child's items go home with them at the end of the day
- Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
- Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
