About The Position

Serve as a key member of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance Dean’s Office, providing high-level administrative and operational support to the Dean and across the School. This forward-facing role supports executive leadership, faculty processes, academic operations, and student services while ensuring efficient day-to-day office management and strong collaboration across campus.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and three years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Solid working knowledge of various word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Executive & Office Operations Support
  • Provide primary administrative support to the Dean, including managing a complex calendar, coordinating travel, preparing correspondence, and supporting meeting logistics.
  • Coordinate School-wide meetings and event scheduling.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Dean’s Office, representing the School in interactions with faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
  • Maintain faculty and staff directory and administrative records.
  • Academic & Faculty Administration
  • Maintain faculty and staff personnel files in compliance with institutional policies.
  • Coordinate tenure and promotion processes, including formal review documentation and peer evaluations.
  • Support faculty administrative needs and workflow coordination.
  • Program & Student Support
  • Support student tours, field trips, and summer programming initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support for School events and engagement activities.
  • Financial & Operational Coordination
  • Manage office supplies, mail distribution, shared spaces, and general office operations.
  • Coordinate faculty and staff office needs, including supplies and phones.
  • Maintain systems for tracking shared resources and equipment.
  • Student Employee Supervision
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and supervise student office staff.
  • Oversee scheduling and performance to ensure effective front office operations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
