About The Position

Provides administrative assistance to the Safety & Security Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”).

Requirements

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
• Some college, college degree preferred
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent attention to detail
• Team player with a service-minded attitude
• Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work a Monday – Friday schedule with occasional Sundays and special events
• Able to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs and be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Safety & Security Ministry including scheduling appointments, answering telephones, ordering office supplies, and other clerical and administrative duties
• Organize and administer office operations and procedures, such as preparation of purchase orders, check requests, credit card requests, contract requests, flow of correspondence, and daily/weekly/monthly reporting
• Serve as a liaison between Safety & Security and other departments in the resolution of related day-to-day administrative issues
• Requisition and inventory supplies for Safety & Security
• Assist in coordinating vendor relationships and schedule vendor related work
• Maintain good relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Assist in scheduling Safety & Security volunteers and maintain strong, positive relationships
• Assist with incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up with the Director of Safety & Security
• Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
• Other duties as assigned
