The Assistant Territory Field Manager supports the Territory Field Manager by coordinating labor, schedules, and materials to ensure plumbing projects run smoothly from start to finish. This role helps manage labor allocation, job readiness, access to tools and materials, and communication between the field and management. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, time management, clear communication, and an ability to work independently to support field operations and project efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the plumbing or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
  • Experience managing a territory and developing sales strategies.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination and obtain a medical card
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify sales opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily functions for each plumbing phase, including slab, rough, and trim.
  • Coordinate labor scheduling and ensure teams follow appropriate timelines.
  • Confirm job readiness and support access to required materials and equipment.
  • Drive material efficiency and waste-reduction efforts.
  • Communicate field updates to labor teams and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with construction managers for national builders within assigned communities.
  • Serve as a liaison between field teams and company leadership to ensure scheduling and productivity alignment.
  • Train field personnel and support ongoing workforce development.
  • Support technology implementation across field operations.
  • Support fleet management efforts and driver eligibility compliance.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
