Requirements

  • College degree or work equivalent
  • Fluent command in the English language is required to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess solid experience from previous LTL carrier
  • Previous supervisory/dispatch experience
  • Familiar with inbound and outbound scheduling and the ability to work all shifts.
  • Must be able to handle customer demands in positive and professional manner at all times while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Experience in operations management, internal or external, is required
  • Must be competent and proficient in Microsoft Office Software products
  • Problem solving and analytical travel is required

Responsibilities

  • Assist the TM and provide customer service/satisfaction above customer expectations
  • Assist the TM and provide positive employee expectations, training, morale and work environment
  • Assist the TM in mentoring and coaching as needed
  • Evaluate and act upon critical terminal operational data
  • Support all safety related issues
  • Monitor and track employee performance providing timely feedback and implementing appropriate corrective action
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Support all company policies and objectives
  • Willingness to work any shift including weekends if needed
  • Responsible for assisting with the hiring of all terminal personnel and overseeing the 90 day on boarding process
  • Utilize reports to generate improved productivity, improved service, and improved profitability
