About The Position

The YMCA is looking for dedicated, caring, and creative individuals to join our Childcare team! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to foster a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and explore their potential. The Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA Early Learning Center is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher who is enthusiastic and compassionate to join our team.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to attend work.
• Be self-motivated, resourceful, and have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in an early learning center or preschool is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned groups of children and engage in positive staff-child interaction.
• Promote a healthy, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical environment for each child.
• Success in this position is defined as growth in student participation and quality enrichment, sound adherence to defined safety and educational standards by the staff, and positive feedback from parents.
