YMCA Lead Teacher
About The Position
The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals to be a Lead Teacher at our YMCA Child and Youth Development program. Locations: El Portal & Meadow Green Work Schedule: Part-time: 1:30pm - 6:00pm Purpose and Impact: Be a Mentor: Support and guide staff through child guidance and behavior management. Guide children (ages 5-12) through curriculum-aligned activities (STEM, arts, homework). Practice Intentionality: Provide attentive service, warmth, and a welcoming environment for all participants and parents. Build connections and offer support to families. Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18+ years old.
- Required 1 year experience working with children (ages 5-12) in an after-school, camp, or daycare setting.
- 24 college units completed with a minimum of 12 units in Child Development and 12 units in a related field
