Who You Are The Assistant Teacher plays a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. Working closely with the Lead Teacher and classroom team, the Assistant Teacher supports daily classroom routines, curriculum implementation, and child development while modeling professionalism, accountability, kindness, and positive guidance. Assistant Teachers are expected to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, seek support when needed, and view feedback as an opportunity for growth. Schedule Full-time, Part-time, and seasonal positions available Flexible scheduling to support school schedules Center hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM No nights, weekends, or holidays What We’ll Love About You Ensure EmBe’s mission, values, and brand are reflected in all interactions with children, families, and team members Model professionalism, appropriate language, accountability, and respect at all times Support classroom leadership by following the Lead Teacher’s guidance while demonstrating initiative and teamwork Assist with implementing curriculum and lesson plans and actively engage children in meaningful learning experiences Help children develop self-regulation, social-emotional skills, and independence through positive guidance Contribute to a stimulating, well-organized learning environment that supports curiosity and development Assist with observing and documenting children’s development using age-appropriate milestones Maintain the safety, dignity, and well-being of every child Actively participate in all aspects of the classroom, including play supervision, crafts, singing, reading, meals, and diapering Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy indoor and outdoor environment Support appropriate staff-to-child ratios and communicate with the Site Manager when support or adjustments are needed Accurately complete required documentation, including daily sheets, meal tracking, accident reports, medication logs, and Procare communication Warmly greet children and families at arrival and departure Communicate clearly, positively, and professionally with parents about their child’s day Work collaboratively with co-workers, adapting to different working styles and supporting team success Remain current on required training and professional development hours Demonstrate openness to feedback and a desire to improve skills and knowledge Perform additional duties as assigned
