YOUR MISSION: Attend to guests courteously and deal with requests and queries promptly, providing detailed information about the hotel and location. Check on VIP guest movements and complete their preregistration formalities. Allocate rooms to arriving guests after checking their preferences. Collect guest feedback forms and deal with any negative feedback immediately where possible. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT? - Attend to guests courteously and address requests and queries promptly, providing detailed information about the hotel and location. - Monitor VIP guest movements and complete their preregistration formalities. - Allocate rooms to arriving guests after verifying their preferences. - Collect guest feedback forms and address any negative feedback immediately where possible. - Provide operational support by performing a range of routine activities using existing systems and protocols. - Operate complex equipment and machines, adjusting diverse variables to achieve optimal outcomes in terms of quality and productivity. - Generate solutions to simple and recurring inefficiencies. - Respond to basic issue escalations promptly and appropriately; provide managerial approvals as required. - Deliver quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to secure new business or support retention. Responsibilities may include processing cases, handling complex queries, and investigating and resolving customer problems. - Provide advanced product/service information and respond to basic customer questions about the product/service. - Answer the telephone and assist callers or those making a broad range of inquiries by email, mail, or other means with any requests for information, directing more complex matters to colleagues as necessary. - Initiate contact internally and externally on a regular basis to convey requests, provide instructions, or obtain information on behalf of a senior colleague. - Produce, update, and provide best practice support on a wide range of Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems. - Conduct complex analyses, quality tests, and inspections that require a high level of independent judgment. - Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. - Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure. - Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. - Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. - Use the internal communications system to access specific information. - General EducationPost-Secondary Non-Tertiary Education. - General ExperienceSound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems. - Managerial ExperienceVery limited.
