The Manville School, a highly successful and reputable educational program, is seeking a Special Education Assistant Teacher . The Assistant Teacher provides academic and behavioral support to students while carrying out curriculum instruction within the classroom under the supervision of the special education teacher. The Assistant Teacher supports implementation of lessons and carries out curriculum instruction, tailored to meet students’ specific learning needs/behavioral profiles. The Assistant Teacher actively participates in academic instruction and classroom management, while learning and applying effective evidence-based behavior management techniques. This position is considered to be a training position with direct supervision from educational supervisor and classroom teacher. What’s in it for me?
