SUMMARY The primary responsibility of this position is to support the vision, direction, and day to day operations of the Power Delivery - Supply Chain organization. You will work closely with operations teams and suppliers to plan, coordinate, and execute Supply Chain activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to meet project timelines and requirements. LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN RESPONSIBILITIES Supply Chain Operations and Strategy Partner with internal stakeholders including project teams, estimating, and design phase leads to align supply chain strategies with project goals and timelines. Responsible for managing and implementing short and long-term sourcing strategies to achieve business objectives for the Supply Chain function and contribute to Company-wide strategy. Define sourcing initiatives in alignment with strategic plans and supply chain strategies. Support negotiations and maintain contracts and agreements with key suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitiveness. Build on established supplier relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and productivity, while leveraging the combined buying power of Mortenson’s operations Collaborate across all business functions to formulate, implement, and execute sourcing and continuous improvement strategies. Monitor and analyze industry trends and lead the implementation of best practices for supply chain. When selling materials, participate in contract negotiations with assigned customers. Ensure contract compliance. Collaborate with category team on project proposal strategy. Coordinate material planning to ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules, including long-lead items and critical path materials. People Leadership Lead the work of the buyer team, while establishing strategies for sourcing and supply chain with process excellence focus. Foster teamwork, collaboration, and integration within Supply Chain and across Mortenson to provide cohesive solutions and ensure effective delivery of strategy. Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Champion superior customer service by ensuring a customer focused approach and strong service orientation. All other duties as assigned.
